DADA is a State of Mind..

Art has always been created as a reflection of the cultures and civilizations from which it came.

From its beginnings in 1915 Zurich, Dada was a way for emigrants intellectuals and artists, to express their opposition to the madness
of war.

Dadaism was a reaction to a society thrust into an age of mechanization, when the industrial revolution had just set the tone for humankind’s obsession with the notion of progress.

The Dada's were not trying to create an art movement, they
were anti-art, anti-everything.

Through their acclaimed anti-art which had a "strong negative and destructive element," and "mocking and defaming a society gone insane"

The Dada's "set their face against 'the furious folly of the times", and created art, poetry, photographs, etc

Through experimentation the Dada’s added freedom and crushed the concept of limitation to all of the art forms they used.

Dada not only played a vital role
in the advancement of graphic arts through photography, collage and typography, but also was vital in the development of important rebellion and cultural change in 20th century western society.
